Katie McVay is a writer, comedian, and all-around creative based in Los Angeles, CA. She has performed standup for more than a decade, sharing stages with such greats as Marcella Arguello, Nate Bargatze, and Maria Bamford.

She runs a weekly show each Sunday at Verdugo Bar called Friendship Buddies.

She has written and voice acted for TV, including Bill Nye Saves the World and the Crunchyroll series High Guardian Spice. (Check out her ever-expanding IMDB.)

She’s also appeared on, and written for, children’s science podcasts Smash Boom Best and Brains On. She’s a Smash Boom Best fan favorite, regularly wiping the floor with the competition.

Let’s talk digital. In between running social media campaigns for niche brands, she managed to make time to do a few videos for MTV News. She also helped write for Sam Bee’s mobile game.

And, in between all that, she honed her organizational skills by starting a DIY comedy festival that ran from 2014 to 2016. She’s also kept up a very active freelancing career, providing copy and good times for a number of corporate offices.
